Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jony Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva thuds his right hand into Walker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Silva stalks Walker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Walker's face. Walker staggers backwards, shaken.
Walker moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Nice body punch from Silva.
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Walker on that attempt.
Danga de danga de dang - Silva scores with a four punch combination!
Walker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Walker throws a wild body kick that Silva sees coming a mile off.
Walker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
Silva moves into range and connects with a jab.

Walker throws a head kick that Silva semi-blocks.
Horrible takedown by Walker or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Walker is breathing heavily.
Walker drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Walker off! Walker jumps back into Silva's guard.

Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Walker distracts Silva with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Walker shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Walker needs to keep his hands up - Silva had a free shot at his head there.

and Silva counters with a nice low kick that buckles Walker's knee momentarily.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walker.

Silva goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

letting Silva counter with a right hand.
Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.

Silva feints a jab promting Walker to slip. Silva then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Walker slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Walker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Silva pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Walker back to the cage. Silva follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva is working the combinations to good effect here.
Silva fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Walker throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Walker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Silva scores with a one two! Walker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Silva connects with a single shot there.
Some wild striking there from Silva.
Mauricio Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A nice combination there by Silva.
Silva's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Silva duly obliges.
Walker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Silva to score with a decent uppercut.
Walker looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Walker tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

and Walker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Walker momentarily.
Silva moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Walker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Silva feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Walkers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Silva jabs Walker to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Walker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Mauricio Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Walker is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Walker has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Silva defend it? Walker steps over the head and cranks it - Silva is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Walker!
