Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bittor Xavier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silva tries to move into range but Xavier moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Xavier rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Xavier's guard now.
Silva stands and throws Xavier's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Silva tries to move to full mount but Xavier actually manages to regain half guard.

Silva is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Silva is trying to control. Xavier wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Xavier trying to control from the bottom.
Silva looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Silva works his way into full mount!
Silva is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Xavier tries to reverse the position but Silva maintains control.
Xavier holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Silva tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Xavier is trying to escape the mount.
Silva trying to control but Xavier is having none of it.
Xavier is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Silva tries to control but Xavier wriggling away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Xavier kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Silva goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Xavier is on top in guard.
Silva is trying to control the position but Xavier postures up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Adam Silva hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Xavier throws a combination that misses

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Xavier didn't expect that.

Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Xavier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Xavier trying to keep a closed guard but Silva is proving a slippery customer.

Silva lying in Xavier's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Xavier decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Silva taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
