Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fuzzy Dunlop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dent might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Samuel Peter - WHO NECKS?!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunlop swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dunlop misses with a wild body shot.
Dent moves into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Dunlop fails to land.
Dent breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Dent throws a series of punches but Dunlop avoids them all with ease.
Dent fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dent drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dent wants to control but Dunlop is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dent thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dunlop parries the strikes from Dent easily there. Dent is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dunlop to escape.

Dunlop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dunlop is trying to control Dent's posture but Dent avoids it.
Dent tries for a kimura but Dunlop is defending well.

Dent postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dent takes a little break here. Dunlop wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dent is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dunlop will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dunlop tries to bench press Dent off him but Dent keeps the position.
Dunlop is not content to let Dent control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Arthur Dent wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dent tries to clinch up but Dunlop circles away and keeps his distance.
Dent paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Fuzzy Dunlop has been cut.
Dent scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Dent pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dent misses with a wild body shot.
Dent avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dent shoots for a double leg takedown but Dunlop sprawls well. He's pushed Dent's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dent fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dunlop, pushing him back against the cage.
Dent escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dent misses with a looping left.
Dunlop ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dent moves into range and clinches up with Dunlop.

Dent rushes Dunlop and presses him up against the cage.

Dent's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dunlop throws a hook but Dent avoids it easily.
Dunlop misses with a hook. Dent ducked under it nicely.
Dent moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Dent throws a head kick but Dunlop moves out of range.
Dunlop cracks Dent with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dent drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Dunlop's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dent moves into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunlop blocking the ground and pound.

Dunlop tries to hold on but Dent pushes him away.
Dunlop is in a horrible position here. Dent smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
A nice elbow there by Dent.
Dent fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Dunlop keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dent controlling the pace for now.
Dent's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dunlop can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dunlop lands with a hook. Dent tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Dent fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Dent clobbers Dunlop with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dent clinches with his opponent.
Dent lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Dent creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dunlop's defenses.
A knee to the head by Dent.
Dunlop is rocked!
Dent lands a big knee to the head and Dunlop goes down! Dent pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
