Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Brewster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dakota Finley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brewster comes to the cage accompanied by Way of the Fist. Finley has chosen Bad Company as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chad Brewster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dakota Finley!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Finley has a takedown stuffed.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Finley.
Chad Brewster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dakota Finley.
A big left from Finley misses.
No luck for Brewster with that takedown attempt.
Finley wants to clinch up but Brewster keeps it at a distance.

Brewster gets tackled into the cage by Finley. Finley maintains the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Finley obliges.
Brewster wants to stall.

Finley turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Brewster sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Finley slips a nice elbow through Brewster's hands, connecting with Brewster's forehead.
Finley trying to control from half guard but Brewster is working away.
Brewster is trying to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brewster is looking to control Finley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brewster avoid being mounted?
Brewster is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Finley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Finley's back!
Finley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brewster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brewster has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Finley has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Brewster patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brewster is persistently looking for the submission but Finley is defending it well.
Finley tries to escape but Brewster has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Brewster is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Finley has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Brewster has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Finley taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Brewster doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chad Brewster!
