Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hippity Hop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bam Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bam has chosen Bam Bam as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hippity Hop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bam Bam! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hop napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hop is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Bam trying to control the position but Hop is working away. Hop explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Hop's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bam under the eye.
It looks like Bam Bam has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A momentary lapse in concentration from Hop enables Bam to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hop manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Bam prevents Hop from getting back to his feet. Bam slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hop keeping moving, preventing Bam from controlling successfully. Bam looking to sit in guard and control but Hop gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hop is looking to stand up but Bam won't let him. Bam trying to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bam has a closed guard, preventing Hop from standing up. Bam has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Bam Bam hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bam takes one to the chin there. Bam shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bam stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bam's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hop pushes Bam off looking to stand but Bam dives back in and keeps control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bam looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bam Bam was stalling too much, according to the referee. Bam looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hop! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hop is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That was a close round but I would say that Hippity Hop will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bam Bam's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hop scores with a decent looking hook. Bam darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bam perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Bam is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hop reverses the position - he's now on top in Bam's guard. Bam wants to sweep but no luck. Hop will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hop tries to stand but Bam is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bam tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bam should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hop stands up from Bam's guard - Hop perhaps looking for a knockout. Bam drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hop has his feet on Bam's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Hop fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hop keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That has opened up Bam Bam's cut even more. Hop lands with a straight right. Bam didn't see that one coming. Nice sprawl there from Hop as Bam shoots in. Hippity Hop is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hop misses with a series of wild punches.
Bam throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hop was covering up waiting for the punch and Bam finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bam missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bam controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bam must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bam is looking to work some ground and pound but Hop has wrist control. Hop working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bam. Bam Bam has got the better of the ground game so far. Bam slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bam postures up in Hop's guard and throws a big left but Hop blocks it. Bam is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hippity Hop will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bam Bam's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Hop gets caught flat footed, as Bam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hop swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hop wants to stand but Bam is controlling his posture from full guard. Hop trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bam is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hop regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Bam.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bam controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bam working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bam is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bam Bam has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bam Bam. Hop gets caught flat footed, as Bam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bam content to stall in guard here. Bam drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bam jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bam with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that's the end of the fight! Bam Bam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hop has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
