Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Beck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Beck will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Karelin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Beck! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelin gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Karelin gets a takedown into half guard. Beck wants to get back to his feet. Karelin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Beck keeping hold of Karelin's head, controlling as best he can. Karelin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karelin with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Beck is trying desperately to improve position. Karelin looking for a guillotine from mount but Beck is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beck stops Karelin from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Karelin is breathing heavily. Beck is trying to escape the mount.
Karelin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Beck is surviving well by controlling Karelin's body position as best he can. Beck is working to get back to half guard.
Karelin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Beck has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Beck tries to improve his position but instead Karelin has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Beck is in bad spot here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Karelin working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Beck is doing well to defend. Karelin seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Beck is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexander Karelin!
