Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kick Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Kick Boxer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kick Boxer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ace Delgado!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delgado shoots in but no luck this time.
Boxer lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Delgado.
Boxer lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Boxer.
Boxer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Boxer cracks the inside of Delgado's front leg.
Delgado tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Boxer throws a head kick that misses.
Boxer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Boxer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Delgado.
Boxer throws a head kick that Delgado semi-blocks.
Boxer cracks the inside of Delgado's front leg.

Boxer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Delgado throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boxer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Delgado is in Boxer's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boxer controls Delgado momentarily but Delgado frees himself.
Delgado controlling from the top position.
Boxer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boxer tries to get out of the position.
Boxer is pulling down on Delgado's head. It's preventing any offense from Delgado, at least for the moment.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Delgado scores with a takedown into Boxer's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Delgado stands up over Boxer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Delgado tries to free his leg and advance position but Boxer is retaining full guard.

Boxer is positioning himself well to prevent Delgado advancing to mount.

Boxer is not content to let Delgado control the position.

Boxer is in all sorts of trouble here.

Boxer manages to control the position for a moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Delgado cracks Boxer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Delgado lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
A nice elbow there by Delgado.

Delgado has control of Boxer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Boxer regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Boxer is trying to reverse the position but instead Delgado has taken his back - oops!
Delgado has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Boxer.
Delgado lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.

Delgado has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Boxer! Can he survive? No! He's out! Delgado gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ace Delgado!
