Howard kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eddie Money - Take me home tonight. Garris comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blowin Money Fast by: Rick Ross kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garris gets a takedown into half guard.
Garris wants to work for an arm triangle but Howard is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Garris thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Howard to regain full guard.
Howard utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Garris throws and elbow that misses. Howard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Garris's guard. Nice move by Howard!
Garris working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Howard has passed into half guard!
Garris has one foot on Howard's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for Garris with that takedown attempt.
Good leg kick by Howard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Garris shoots in but Howard avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Garris shoots in for a takedown but Howard shows good takedown defense.
Harold Howard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex Garris.
Garris looks gassed!
Howard turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Garris on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Howard lands a big head kick that sends Garris tumbling to the mat! Howard takes a step backwards and waves Garris back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Garris on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rex Garris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howard fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Garris to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Garris looks to clinch but Howard throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Garris taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
