The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minat shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tod as he jumps to the side.
Minat closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tod circles away.
Minat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Minat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tod misses with a wild body shot.
Minat shoots in looking for a takedown but Tod manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Minat's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Tod is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tod shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Minat's guard.
Tod must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tod really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Minat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tod stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Minat swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Minat looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tod is defending well. Minat quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tod has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Minat celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
