Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Beerly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Murpy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murpy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Victory. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anderson Beerly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charlie Murpy! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beerly doesn't manage to clinch there - Murpy circles away.
Murpy has a takedown stuffed. Murpy misses with a wild body shot. Murpy throws a right and a left that both miss. Murpy lands a lovely overhand right. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Murpy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murpy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beerly as he avoids it easily. Anderson Beerly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Murpy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murpy dives in and grabs Beerly's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beerly pushes down on Murpy's head and hops out. The fight stays on the outside here - Beerly looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Beerly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Murpy. Anderson Beerly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beerly misses with an uppercut. Murpy saw that one coming. Beerly throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Beerly turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Beerly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Murpy shoots in for a takedown but Beerly shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Murpy fails with a takedown attempt. Murpy shoots for a double leg takedown but Beerly sprawls well. He's pushed Murpy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Murpy shoots in looking for a takedown. Beerly tries to sprawl out of it but Murpy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beerly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Beerly throws a head kick that half lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murpy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Murpy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Beerly circles away. Beerly stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Beerly wants it to stay on the feet. Beerly scoring well with a low kick there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Beerly lands with a kick to the temple. Murpy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Beerly tries a low kick but Murpy avoids it. Murpy keeps the fight on the outside. Murpy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Beerly sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Murpy shoots in for a takedown but Beerly shows good takedown defense. Murpy fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beerly scores with a leg kick.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Beerly. Murpy shrugs it off though. Beerly moves in looking to clinch but Murpy pushes him off. Beerly jabbing away but nothing is landing. Murpy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Beerly moves away from the strike by Murpy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murpy shoots in for a takedown but Beerly shows good takedown defense. Beerly lands a jab-cross combination. Charlie Murpy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murpy shoots in but Beerly avoids the takedown attempt easily. Murpy misses with a takedown attempt - Beerly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Murpy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Beerly closes the distance and pushes Murpy back into the cage. Beerly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A head kick misses from Beerly. Beerly cracks Murpy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Beerly tries to clinch but Murpy moves out of range.

Murpy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Beerly counters with a nice kick to the body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beerly moves out of range as Murpy strikes. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Beerly. Murpy shrugs it off though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Beerly dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Anderson Beerly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Murpy with a lazy takedown attempt and Beerly counters with a body kick. Murpy shoots and misses and Beerly counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Anderson Beerly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Murpy. Beerly displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Murpy throws out the jab. A jab from Murpy misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murpy tries for a takedown but Beerly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Murpy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Beerly throws a nice inside leg kick. Murpy tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Murpy is trying desperately to land a takedown but Beerly is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Murpy. Beerly fails in his attempt to clinch. Beerly wants to slow Murpy down by chopping away at his legs. Murpy shoots and misses and Beerly counters with a leg kick. Murpy has his takedown stuffed and Beerly moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beerly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Murpy gets a takedown into half guard. Murpy winds up and cracks Beerly with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Beerly is looking for a sweep. Murpy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Beerly holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Beerly tries to get to full guard but Murpy has control of the leg. Murpy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Beerly gets back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beerly is adopting a defensive guard. Beerly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Beerly wants to stand and escape but Murpy is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beerly wants to sweep here but Murpy controlling him for the moment. Murpy controls from within his opponent's guard. Murpy trying to control but Beerly is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Murpy avoids the head kick by Beerly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Murpy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Beerly counters with a leg kick. Murpy throws a hook to the side of Beerly's head but Beerly sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Murpy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Charlie Murpy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anderson Beerly is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Beerly tries a head kick but it misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Beerly showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Beerly, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
