Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luther Heggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Braxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braxton connects with an inside leg kick.
Braxton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Braxton thows a body kick. Heggs tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Jack Braxton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heggs is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Heggs moves out of range of the body kick from Braxton.
Heggs wants to clinch.
Heggs misses with a two punch combination.
Heggs takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Braxton goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Braxton throws a half hearted mid kick.
Braxton chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Braxton scores with a one two! Heggs had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Luther Heggs has been cut.

Braxton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Heggs to the mat! Heggs manages to get full guard.

Braxton wants to get up but he can't break Heggs's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jack Braxton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Braxton throws the kick towards the body but Heggs avoids it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Heggs throws a lazy right hand but Braxton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Braxton misses with a wild combination.
A jab from Heggs misses.
Braxton shoots in but Heggs avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice takedown defense from Heggs. No joy for Braxton on that attempt.

Heggs rushes Braxton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Braxton.
Heggs misses with a short punch on the inside.
Braxton is looking to break free of the clinch but Heggs has double underhooks.
Braxton blocks an uppercut.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Braxton is trying to trip Heggs. He has hold of a leg but Heggs is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Braxton persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Heggs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Braxton is trying to get back to full guard.

Heggs is looking to stand up but Braxton won't let him.
Braxton is pulling down on Heggs's head. It's preventing any offense from Heggs, at least for the moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Heggs wants to pass the guard but Braxton is keeping the position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Braxton pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Braxton throws a nice looking combination but Heggs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Braxton throws a sloppy head kick and Heggs moves out of range easily.
Heggs moves out of range as Braxton throws a body kick.
Braxton tries a head kick but it misses.
Braxton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Braxton throws a series of punches but Heggs moves out of range.
Heggs blocks a leg kick.
Heggs smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Heggs bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Braxton's head.
Braxton takes a swing at Heggs's ribcage but misses.
Jack Braxton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Braxton pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Heggs clinches with his opponent.

Heggs works on Braxton's body with a couple of short punches.
Braxton has Heggs pressed against the cage, preventing Heggs from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Heggs.
Braxton is breathing heavily.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Heggs.
Braxton tries to break the clinch but Heggs is controlling the position.
Braxton keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Heggs's efforts to push away.
Heggs wants to get back to striking at distance but Braxton won't allow it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Heggs.
Braxton's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Heggs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Heggs wants to clinch up but Braxton keeps it at a distance.
Heggs is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Heggs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Braxton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Braxton. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Heggs's corner calls for a 1-2. Heggs obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Braxton throws a head kick that misses.
Heggs cracks Braxton with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Braxton tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Heggs pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Braxton is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
