Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Owen Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tima Bronko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Owen Wood has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tima Bronko!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bronko closes the distance and clinches.
Wood looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Bronko turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Wood managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bronko.
Bronko fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Wood wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bronko landing strikes.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bronko looks up at the clock and then as Wood takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bronko smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wood taking punishment in the form of punches.
Bronko slows the pace down.

Bronko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wood knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bronko in side control, throwing shots but Wood defends.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bronko tries for a kimura but Wood is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bronko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bronko stands up and beckons Wood to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A shot to the liver by Bronko. Beautiful body shot.
Bronko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wood moves away.

Bronko scores a takedown into full mount!
Bronko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bronko landing shots from mount.
Bronko breaks from Wood's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bronko fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bronko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wood's face.
Bronko breaks from Wood's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tima Bronko dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Bronko shoots for a double leg takedown but Wood sprawls well. He's pushed Bronko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bronko moves in looking to clinch but Wood pushes him off.

Bronko clinches up with Wood and pushes him back against the cage.

Bronko pulls guard successfully.

Bronko kicks Wood off and gets to his feet.

Bronko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bronko missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Bronko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bronko looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wood pushes Bronko off but Bronko dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bronko throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Wood is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Wood is letting Bronko control him for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bronko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bronko prevents Wood from escaping the position.
Wood takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Bronko lands a few punches from side control.
Bronko working the ground and pound.
Wood takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bronko is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Wood looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bronko gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Wood is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bronko lets go of the hold and Wood can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tima Bronko!
