Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kev Yama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler Foster struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Tyler Foster will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yama shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. A nice elbow there by Yama. Yama working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Yama fails to advance to Foster's back. Yama looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Yama putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Yama looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Foster working to try and regain half guard.
Foster looks gassed! Yama wants to finish this one by submission but Foster is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Yama. Yama working for a guillotine from mount but Foster is in no mood to give up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster taking shots to the head. Yama scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Yama is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Foster has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Foster! Foster must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Yama lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Foster! Foster is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Yama is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Foster to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Foster shrugs it off. Foster tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yama swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Foster is now in Yama's guard. A big mistake from Yama there, giving up the dominant position!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yama working for a triangle but Foster defends it easily.
Yama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Foster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Foster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yama pushes a forearm under Foster's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Foster is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
