Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Orin Niswender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armenian Samoan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Armenian Samoan!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niswender lands a nice looking body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Samoan.
A right-left combo lands from Niswender.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Niswender throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Samoan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Samoan walks into a straight right hand from Niswender.
No luck for Samoan with that takedown attempt.
Niswender lunges at Samoan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Samoan's hand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Niswender counters with a stiff right hand.

Samoan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Niswender but Niswender pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Niswender counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Samoan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Niswender's waist but Niswender gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Samoan off to one side.

Niswender is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Samoan dives in and grabs Niswender's left leg, looking for a takedown. Niswender pushes down on Samoan's head and hops out.

and Niswender counters with a three punch combo that has Samoan backing up. Samoan nods at Niswender to acknowledge the strikes.
