Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eoin Andershannon O Darby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gokhan Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Darby comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Shipping up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eoin Andershannon O Darby! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gokhan Sato! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from O Darby.

and O Darby counters with a single leg into guard. Sato didn't expect that. Sato is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sato has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but O Darby can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Darby drops back looking for a leg! Sato is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sato manages to kick O Darby off! O Darby jumps back into Sato's guard. O Darby postures up.
Sato tries to land a sweep but no joy. O Darby passes Sato's left leg - he's now in half guard. O Darby looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
O Darby is thwarting Sato's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Darby is pressing down on Sato's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sato is holding on for now. O Darby uses his free foot to push down on Sato's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sato. O Darby moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sato has worked his arm free - good work by Sato!
Sato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with O Darby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sato is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Darby tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. O Darby tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Darby is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sato knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sato gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sato is looking to control O Darby's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sato avoid being mounted? O Darby looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Sato moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. O Darby has gone for a leg lock! Sato slips out almost immediately though and dives into O Darby's guard. O Darby looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eoin Andershannon O Darby dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
O Darby doesn't manage to clinch there - Sato circles away.
O Darby waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sato. O Darby throws a hook to the side of Sato's head but Sato sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A lazy left from O Darby finds it's target. Sato rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and O Darby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sato swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sato throws a combination that misses and Sato takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. O Darby throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Sato misses with a looping left. Gokhan Sato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sato misses with a double jab
and O Darby connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Gokhan Sato has been cut. O Darby misses with a hook. Sato ducked under it nicely. Gokhan Sato is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. O Darby sizes up Sato with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sato misses with a right hand and O Darby counters with a straight right hand. The fighters circling - O Darby throws out the jab but it was never going to land. O Darby moves into range and clinches up with Sato.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Darby changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sato fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and O Darby counters with a solid body kick. Sato swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and O Darby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. O Darby misses with a looping left. Sato takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sato's hands are dropping dangerously low here and O Darby connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sato scrambles back to his feet. O Darby is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Sato rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and O Darby counters with a nice body kick. Sato swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and O Darby counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sato is rocked! Sato is breathing heavily. Sato slips a straight right by O Darby. Sato is still on wobbly legs! Can O Darby finish him? BOOM! O Darby lands a beautiful left hook that drops Sato. Sato tries to recover but O Darby is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Sato lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
