Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johny Vendetti!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin lands with a good body shot.
Austin misses with a body punch

and Vendetti counters with a nice double leg into side control. Austin won't be happy with that.
Vendetti working the head with strikes.

Vendetti is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Austin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Austin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Austin lands a nice short elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Austin is looking to advance position but Vendetti won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Austin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vendetti is just riding it out for now. Austin eventually gives up the hold.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vendetti is looking to regain half guard here but Austin keeps moving and retains side control.
Vendetti is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Austin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vendetti, who protects the arm well.
Vendetti tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Austin lands a nice forearm strike.
Vendetti takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Austin cracks Vendetti with a big right hand but Vendetti just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Austin in side control lands a decent elbow.
Austin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vendetti keeps working.

Austin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Austin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vendetti some visible discomfort.

Austin is chipping away with strikes.
Austin lands a decent elbow from side control.
Austin wants to control but Vendetti is keeping him busy.
Austin controls the position.
Austin is working Vendetti over with some ground and pound from side control.
Vendetti takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vendetti gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Vendetti tries to get to full guard but Austin has control of the leg.
Austin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Austin winds up and cracks Vendetti with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Austin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Vendetti actively working from the bottom here.
Austin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Austin trying to mount his opponent but Vendetti defends it.
Austin wants to control but Vendetti is keeping him busy.
Vendetti is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Austin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Austin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Austin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vendetti tries to roll over but Austin keeps him under control.
Vendetti is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Austin scores with a couple of nice shots.
Austin prevents Vendetti from improving his position.
Vendetti is refusing to be controlled, as Austin sits in half guard.
Vendetti is looking for a sweep. Austin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Austin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vendetti with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Austin is nestled in close to Vendetti, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.


Vendetti is rocked!

Austin seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Vendetti is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
