And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robbie Evans!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young throws a poor cross that misses

so Evans counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Evans drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Evans jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Evans working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Young's head.
Young throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Evans is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Young is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Evans wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Young takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Young throws a lazy uppercut

and Evans counters with a shoot takedown. Young fights it but they end up in guard.
Young preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Evans throwing strikes but missing.
Evans scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Young keeping moving, preventing Evans from controlling successfully.
Evans is in close to Young's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Young has an active guard here but Evans has managed to pass into half guard.
Evans passes to full mount!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Evans working the ground and pound effectively.
Young is breathing heavily.
Evans wants to control the pace but Young is squirming around nicely.
Evans lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Young takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Evans's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robbie Evans!
