Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nic Caswell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amarie STAT (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
STAT tries to close the distance and clinch but Caswell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

STAT is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Caswell looks to land a combination but STAT avoids it well.

STAT remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Caswell looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! STAT has picked Caswell up and slammed him! Caswell can't keep hold of the triangle and STAT manages to pass to side control!
Caswell tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Caswell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
