Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitchel Genk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mitchel Genk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bas Rutten! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Genk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rutten avoids it really well and circles away. Rutten avoids the head kick by Genk.
Genk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bas Rutten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rutten throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Genk counters with a good low kick that Rutten was not able to check. Genk doesn't manage to clinch there - Rutten circles away.
Genk shoots for a double leg takedown but Rutten sprawls well. He's pushed Genk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Genk misses with a takedown attempt - Rutten sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchel Genk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sloppy strikes from Rutten. Those never looked like landing. Genk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rutten defends it nicely. Genk tries to clinch but Rutten is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rutten throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Genk. Genk shoots in for a double leg but Rutten sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rutten swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Genk counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Genk.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten wants a takedown.
Rutten tries to pull guard but Genk won't allow it.
Genk throws a punch but it's blocked by Rutten. Genk stalling in the clinch but Rutten improves position. Rutten gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Genk.
Genk jumps guard.
Genk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rutten doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rutten manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Genk is breathing heavily. Rutten is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Genk is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Genk has escaped and now he's on top! Rutten looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rutten manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rutten is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Genk has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rutten can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Genk is looking to escape. Genk is looking to improve his position but Rutten isn't that keen on the idea. Rutten is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Genk has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rutten has isolated one of Genk's arms. Genk looking to fight him off but Rutten twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
