Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taye Silcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silcic comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Mind Tricks-Kublai Khan. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Taye Silcic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Josh James! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silcic has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by James. Silcic working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from James. James wants to control from the top but Silcic keeps moving. Silcic controls James momentarily but James frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James prevents Silcic from getting back to his feet. James loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. James throws a strike but Silcic rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Silcic trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silcic postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! James is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silcic, into his guard. James trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silcic looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silcic looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silcic! Silcic swings around for an armbar but James sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Silcic's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silcic working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from James. James throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Silcic is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Silcic looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there. James is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Silcic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silcic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Silcic is trying to keep James in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Silcic can't keep his opponent in guard - James advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. James is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Silcic trying to control here.

James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silcic looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Silcic is trying to control the position but James postures up. James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. James drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silcic manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now James has Silcic in his guard. James controlling Silcic's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silcic moves to clinch but James breaks away so James counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. James wants to control from the top but Silcic keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. James wants to control from the top but Silcic keeps moving. James is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. James prevents Silcic from getting back to his feet.

Josh James has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Silcic swinging wildly here.
Silcic shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Silcic is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so James is just riding it out for now. Silcic eventually gives up the hold. Silcic lands with a punch from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silcic wants to take a breather but James is having none of it. Silcic is looking for submissions but instead, James has regained full guard.
Silcic looking to sit in guard and control but James gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. James is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Josh James has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James gets to his feet. Silcic looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Silcic closes the distance but James moves to the side and James counters with a shoot takedown. Silcic fights it but they end up in guard. James scores with a decent looking elbow strike. James stands and throws Silcic's legs to the side, diving into side control. James looks up at the clock and then as Silcic takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, James smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's four minutes gone in the round. James tries to score with some ground and pound. Silcic controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. James is looking to take a break and control but Silcic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Silcic tries to buck James off but James is having none of it. Silcic is not content to let James control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Taye Silcic just wasn't active enough. James circles away from the clinch attempt and James counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silcic won't be happy with that.

James lands a decent elbow from side control. James tries for a kimura but Silcic is defending well. You can see the frustration on Silcic's face as James controls the position. Silcic wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Josh James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
