Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aunaki Akira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davey Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aunaki Akira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davey Knox!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knox wants it to stay on the feet.
Akira is looking to clinch.
Akira leaves Knox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Knox swats away the attempt to clinch by Akira.

Knox throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Akira tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Knox is in Akira's guard.
Knox throws a strike but Akira rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Knox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Knox is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Aunaki Akira wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Knox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Akira clobbers Knox with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Knox throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Akira's waist but Akira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knox off to one side.
Aunaki Akira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davey Knox.

Akira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knox keeps working.

Akira goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Knox has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Akira but great work by Knox.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Knox misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Knox keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Akira's head.
Knox wants to control from the top but Akira keeps moving.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Knox lands a huge takedown. Akira is out but the ref is slow to react and Knox lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Akira lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
