Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Brooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head has chosen I'm an Asshole - Dennis Leary as his entrance music. Head has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Richard Head has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooker lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Head throws a sloppy head kick and Brooker moves out of range easily.
Head throws a right and a left that both miss.
Head misses with an uppercut. Brooker saw that one coming.
Brooker is looking to clinch but Head is avoiding it.
Head throws a hook but Brooker blocks it.

Head gets a clinch.
Head lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brooker backwards.
Brooker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Head has him pressed against the cage.
Brooker scores with a hook to the body.
Head tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Brooker with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Head tries a knee to the head but Brooker blocks it.
Brooker tries to break free but Head pushes him back against the cage.

Head pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Head looks gassed!
Head wants to clinch up but Brooker keeps it at a distance.
Brooker slips a jab and a cross from Head.

Brooker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Head is not content to let Brooker control the position.

Head is trying to get back to half guard.

Brooker decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Head lands a nice shot to the body.
Brooker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Head manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Head tries to clinch there but Brooker circles away.
Head avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Head gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brooker to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Brooker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Head tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Brooker wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hugo Brooker wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Brooker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Head tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brooker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brooker has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Brooker wants to control the pace but Head is squirming around nicely.

Head is trying to defend against the choke here but Brooker has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Brooker Tightens the hold and Head taps out furiously! Brooker displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
