Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clay Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Webster has chosen Run to the Hills by Iron Madien as his entrance music. Clay Thomas has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Thomas as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Ben Webster has been cut.
Webster throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thomas's waist but Thomas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Webster off to one side.
Webster shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Webster's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Thomas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Webster, pushing him back against the cage.
Webster fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Clay Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Webster.
Webster is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Webster jumps guard but Thomas stands there with Webster around his waist. Webster gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Thomas.
Thomas presses Webster against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Webster fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Webster stops a takedown attempt from Thomas.
Thomas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Webster is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Webster drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thomas pulls his leg out and moves away.
Webster looks gassed!
Nice sprawl there from Thomas as Webster shoots in.
Nice takedown defense from Webster. No joy for Thomas on that attempt.
Thomas connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Webster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thomas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Webster tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thomas tries to bench press Webster off him but Webster keeps the position.
Thomas controls the position for a moment.
Thomas wants to control but Webster postures up.

Webster tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Webster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Thomas is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Thomas tries to roll over but Webster keeps him under control.
Thomas is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thomas is trying to stand back up but Webster is controlling him
Thomas is trying to maintain the position but Webster is very close to passing his half guard.
Thomas wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Webster not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Thomas is not content to let Webster control the position.
Ground and pound from Webster.
Thomas looks like he's trying to stand up.
Thomas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Thomas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thomas tries to get out of the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Thomas's jab looks to have found its range, popping Webster under the eye.
Webster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Horrible takedown by Thomas or perhaps it was just good defense by Webster which made him look bad.
Webster fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Webster takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Thomas lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Clay Thomas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Webster backs away from a small jab...but Thomas lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Webster crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Thomas with a spectacular finish!
