Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lasse Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Castroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzi's entrance music is Metallica - Iron Man. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castroy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Uzi was well out of range. Poor timing from Castroy.

Castroy throws a lazy uppercut
and Uzi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Uzi tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Castroy.
Castroy tries to kick Uzi off but Uzi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lasse Uzi.
Uzi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Castroy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Castroy doesn't manage to clinch there - Uzi circles away.

The referee is keeping an eye on Uzi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Castroy is trying to maintain a safe position but Uzi gets an underhook and turns Castroy into the cage.
Castroy is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.
Uzi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Uzi throws a series of punches but Castroy avoids them all with ease.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Uzi is looking to break free of the clinch but Castroy has double underhooks.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Uzi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Uzi throws a hook but Castroy blocks it.
Castroy takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Castroy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Castroy cracks a nice hook into Uzi's ribs.
Fidel Castroy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Castroy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Uzi.
Uzi throws a series of punches but Castroy moves out of range.
Castroy scores with a sloppy right hand. Uzi should have avoided that one.

and Castroy counters with a lovely shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Uzi throws a lazy right hand but Castroy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Castroy moves into range and connects with a jab.
Uzi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Uzi is rocked!
Uzi throws a combination that misses
and Castroy rattles Uzi with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Uzi tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Castroy dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Uzi stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fidel Castroy!
