Monarkki blocks a head kick by Layer.
Layer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Monarkki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Layer somewhat.
Layer gets caught flat footed, as Monarkki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Monarkki passes Layer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Monarkki with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Monarkki is trying for a kimura here. Layer looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Monarkki wins by kimura!
