Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lorian Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Twilight Of The Thunder God. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Lorian Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Michaels! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michaels throws a body kick the misses and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Michaels has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jones is looking to stand up but Michaels won't let him. Michaels had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily. Jones wants to get up but he can't break Michaels's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Michaels wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment. Michaels is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to stand and escape but instead Michaels has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Michaels trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Michaels is looking to advance position but Jones has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Michaels can't escape the position.
Jones is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Michaels tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones tries to stand up but Michaels grabs his leg and drags him down! Michaels is now on top, in side control. Michaels in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Michaels is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Michaels stands up and beckons Jones to his feet. Jones misses with a hook. Jones moves out of range of the body kick from Michaels.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a right hand that Michaels ducks under and follows up with a left that Michaels also avoids with ease. Jones tries to bum rush Michaels with a series of wild strikes but Michaels uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Michaels throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Michaels on that attempt. Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Michaels. Michaels goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Michaels fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Michaels looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Michaels shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Michaels.
Michaels is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michaels looking to secure an arm triangle but Jones defends it well. Michaels sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Michaels working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Michaels dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Michaels shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kevin Michaels has got the better of the ground game so far. Michaels punching from mount but Jones doing a good job of avoiding damage. Michaels moves to take his opponent's back. Michaels throwing sloppy strikes. Michaels lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Michaels is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jones has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Michaels has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jones taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Michaels doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kevin Michaels!
