The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Cuervo. Silvers does a little dance to reset his feet. Silvers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cuervo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silvers is controlling him well. Cuervo tries to improve position but can't. Cuervo wants to control but Silvers postures up. Cuervo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silvers on the ground. Silvers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cuervo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cuervo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Silvers.

Cuervo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Silvers yanks on the arm and Cuervo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Silvers.
