Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Rick Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Murphy MacManus! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacManus defending well as Davis loads up on a big left hand. MacManus looks to throw the jab but Davis is out of range. Davis avoids a punch combination nicely.
MacManus misses with a low kick as Davis jumps back. MacManus drops his hands momentarily and Davis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Murphy MacManus has been cut. A jab lands there for MacManus. MacManus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Davis's head. MacManus ducks under a wild hook from Davis. Davis throws a predictable looking body shot
and MacManus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davis won't be happy with that. Davis tries to buck MacManus off but MacManus is having none of it. MacManus in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. MacManus postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Davis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davis tries to get out of the position. MacManus trying to control the action but Davis is working from the bottom. MacManus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Davis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in MacManus's guard! Nice work there by Davis!
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Davis is stalling in the full guard. Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but MacManus has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. MacManus keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. Davis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Davis postures up in MacManus's guard and throws a big left but MacManus blocks it. Davis wants to control from the top but MacManus keeps moving. Davis looking to pass the guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. MacManus keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rick Davis. Davis throws an ugly left hook that misses
and MacManus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Davis misses the body punch and MacManus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. MacManus misses with a left hand enabling Davis to counter with a crisp jab. MacManus scores with a hook to the body. Davis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Davis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
MacManus swings for the body but Davis moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis misses with a body punch
enabling MacManus to counter with a crisp jab. Davis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and MacManus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Davis misses with a lunging right hand
and MacManus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Davis moves out of range as MacManus strikes. MacManus cracks Davis with a good jab. Davis throws a lazy uppercut
and MacManus counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. MacManus misses with a series of wild punches.
Davis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Davis throws an off balance right hand
and MacManus counters with a left to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. MacManus lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. MacManus lands a jab to Davis's midsection. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Murphy MacManus dominated that round. The cut man is working on Murphy MacManus's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
MacManus throws a hook but Davis blocks it. Davis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
MacManus slaps away a takedown attempt from Davis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Davis misses with a right hand and MacManus counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. MacManus lands with a nice combination. Davis backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Rick Davis has been cut. Good exchange - MacManus coming out on top.
Davis is rocked! MacManus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davis circles away quickly and effectively. Davis swings widly with a right hand
and MacManus counters with a two punch combo. Oh Davis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! MacManus misses with a jab, cross combination.
Davis seems to have got his legs back now. Murphy MacManus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. MacManus with a nice cross. Davis misses with an uppercut
and MacManus counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Davis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Murphy MacManus seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis throws an ugly left hook that misses
and MacManus counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Davis! MacManus scores with a couple of good head shots there.
MacManus connects with a bit shot that sees Davis covering up! More strikes from MacManus and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! MacManus is our winner by TKO!
