Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Melvin Manhoef!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Hodger Gracie!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manhoef misses with a leg kick
and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Manhoef misses with a wild combination.
Manhoef throws a hook but Gracie blocks it.
Gracie misses with a low kick.
A combination from Manhoef does no damage.
Melvin Manhoef seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Manhoef.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Manhoef.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Manhoef shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Manhoef throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.

Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Manhoef's guard.

Gracie trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Manhoef manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Manhoef!
Manhoef is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action.
Manhoef is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Manhoef is looking to escape.
Gracie has hold of Manhoef's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Manhoef manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Manhoef is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gracie has taken his back.
Manhoef looking very determined here, making life difficult for Gracie.

Gracie has managed to slip his arm under Manhoef's chin. This could be all over... yep, Manhoef is tapping out! Submission win for Gracie.
