Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Hawthorne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reed Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed Richards will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reed Richards! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawthorne throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Richards avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Richards misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Richards lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Richards lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hawthorne will feel that in the morning. Hawthorne is looking to clinch but Richards is avoiding it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Richards gets a clinch. Richards pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Richards scores with a spinning back kick! Hawthorne is breathing heavily. Hawthorne doesn't manage to clinch there - Richards circles away.
Hawthorne wants to clinch and Richards makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Hawthorne really felt that one! Richards tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawthorne swats him away and circles back towards the center. Richards connects with a high kick.
It looks like Lance Hawthorne has been cut. Richards rushes Hawthorne and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Richards is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hawthorne gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Richards is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Richards has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hawthorne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The fighters roll with the hold and Richards manages to kick Hawthorne off! Hawthorne jumps back into Richards's guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hawthorne drops back for a leg! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hawthorne, into his guard. Richards wants to control from the top but Hawthorne keeps moving. Hawthorne is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hawthorne has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Richards should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hawthorne has tightened it up now! Richards should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
