Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Derksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derksen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pantera - I'm Broken. Edward Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derksen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Derksen.
Derksen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A swing and a miss from Derksen.
Jones scores with a leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jones.
Derksen blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Derksen.

Derksen falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jones counters with a leg kick.
Derksen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.
Derksen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Gerald Derksen has been cut.

Jones lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Derksen is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.
Derksen is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Derksen is trying to stand back up but Jones is controlling him
Jones is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Derksen!
Jones fails to take his opponent's back.
Jones is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Derksen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Derksen!
Jones is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The ref stands the fighters back up because Gerald Derksen just wasn't active enough.
Derksen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Edward Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
