Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dontaey Paige (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and herbert mankow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). mankow has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mankow takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Paige showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from mankow.
mankow dodges the punch combination from Paige.
herbert mankow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paige will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paige throws a head kick that mankow semi-blocks.

mankow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Paige sprawls well initially but mankow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Paige wants to improve his position but mankow is controlling well.
mankow lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

mankow misses with a head shot. Paige uses the momentum to regain guard.
mankow passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Paige pushes mankow away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, mankow gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
mankow wants to control but Paige is keeping him busy.
Paige is looking to work his way out of this bad position but mankow is controlling him well.
mankow scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Paige to see if he's OK.
mankow with the ground and pound but Paige regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
mankow frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

mankow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Paige wants to hold on but mankow pushes him away.

Paige really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like Dontaey Paige has been cut.

Paige has left one of his arms exposed and mankow doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Paige screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
