Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Goran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Manloaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manloaf has chosen Giant Steps by John Coltrane as his entrance music. Ryan Goran has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manloaf is looking to clinch but Goran is avoiding it.
Goran shoots in for a takedown but Manloaf shows good takedown defense.
Manloaf tries to clinch but Goran is having none of it.
Manloaf tries to clinch up but Goran circles away and keeps his distance.
Manloaf fails with an attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Goran or perhaps it was just good defense by Manloaf which made him look bad.

Goran shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Goran showed some decent athleticism there.
Goran wants to pass to mount but Manloaf is defending the position.

Goran is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Manloaf is in trouble now - Goran has advanced to mount!

Manloaf is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Goran has taken his back.

Manloaf postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Manloaf chips away with some ground and pound.
Goran has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Manloaf has passed into side control.
Goran is breathing heavily.
Goran is trying to improve his position.
Goran looks to move to half guard but instead Manloaf has passed into mount! Damn!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manloaf pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Oh Goran is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Manloaf prevents Goran from getting the reversal.

Manloaf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Goran gets back to full guard.
Goran wants to sweep here but Manloaf controlling him for the moment.
Goran seems to have got his legs back now.

Goran had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Manloaf is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Goran Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Manloaf's back instead.

Manloaf is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Goran gets his way!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goran is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Manloaf defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Goran is cranking Manloaf's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Manloaf! He's tightened the choke and Manloaf is tapping out!
