Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Pike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnson Juarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juarez has chosen SYSTEM OF A DOWN - Prison Song as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!On his way into the cage it seems that Evan Pike has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Evan Pike seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnson Juarez! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pike misses with a wild body shot. Pike throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Pike lands an overhand right. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pike misses with a wild body shot. Juarez fails to land the takedown. Evan Pike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pike stuffs the takedown attempt from Juarez. Juarez gets slowly back to his feet. Juarez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pike manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Pike looking for a guillotine here but Juarez defends easily.

Juarez wants to pass the guard but Pike is keeping the position. Pike has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Juarez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Good standup being displayed there by Pike as he connects with a hook. Juarez with a poor takedown and Pike counters with a stiff right hand. Evan Pike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnson Juarez. Pike fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Juarez manages to avoid it. Juarez dives in and grabs Pike's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pike pushes down on Juarez's head and hops out. Pike stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Juarez wants to clinch. Pike throws a hook but Juarez blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Juarez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pike did well to prevent Juarez getting side control. Juarez content to control rather than advance. Pike wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pike knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Juarez on the ground. Juarez is taking a breather. Pike says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Juarez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Juarez is keen to just control but Pike is a slippery customer.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Johnson Juarez wasn't active enough on the ground. Pike lunges at Juarez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Juarez's hand. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Juarez avoids the body shot from Pike.
Pike throws a hook but Juarez avoids it easily. Pike scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pike thows a left - swing and a miss! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pike swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Juarez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pike pulls him back up using the underhooks. Pike pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pike throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Juarez fails to land the takedown. Pike stuffs the takedown. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Pike here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Juarez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pike swats him away and circles back towards the center. Juarez moves to clinch but Pike breaks away and Pike counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Juarez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pike quickly recovers to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pike is trying to maintain the position but Juarez is very close to passing his half guard. Juarez wants to work for an arm triangle but Pike is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Juarez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Pike is refusing to be controlled, as Juarez sits in half guard. Juarez is working for a submission of some sort.

And that's the end of the fight! Evan Pike showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pike, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
