1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaques Cousteau! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batungbakal closes the distance looking to clinch letting Cousteau counter with a right hand. Batungbakal throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cousteau scores with a jab to the head.
Cousteau avoids the head kick by Batungbakal.
Batungbakal darts in trying to clinch and Cousteau counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Batungbakal! Batungbakal tries to hold on but Cousteau pushes him away. Cousteau looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Batungbakal regains half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Batungbakal is staying active underneath Cousteau, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Batungbakal tries to kick Cousteau off but Cousteau keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cousteau wants to pass the guard but Batungbakal is defending well. Cousteau is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Batungbakal!
That's one minute gone in the round. Batungbakal defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cousteau. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Batungbakal tries to hold on but Cousteau postures up. Cousteau looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Batungbakal tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cousteau fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cousteau escapes and gets back to his feet. A bone on bone clash there as Cousteau blocks the leg kick.
Jake Batungbakal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Batungbakal. No joy for Cousteau on that attempt. Cousteau fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Batungbakal on the side of the head. Cousteau rushes Batungbakal and presses him up against the ropes. Cousteau looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cousteau is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Batungbakal can't fight it off and eventually Cousteau manages to take the fight to the floor. Batungbakal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cousteau sitting in guard, not really doing much. Batungbakal wants to stand but Cousteau is controlling the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cousteau accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batungbakal wants to get back to his feet but Cousteau is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cousteau forces his way into half guard. Cousteau seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Batungbakal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Batungbakal is trying to stand back up but Cousteau is controlling him
Cousteau scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Cousteau trying to advance position but Batungbakal counters by regaining guard. Batungbakal keeping moving, preventing Cousteau from controlling successfully. Cousteau is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cousteau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cousteau pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Batungbakal is keeping the position for now. Cousteau slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. An elbow from Cousteau crashes against the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cousteau wants to control but Batungbakal is keeping him busy. Cousteau working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaques Cousteau dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Batungbakal closes the distance looking to clinch and Cousteau counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Batungbakal looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Batungbakal wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Batungbakal taking a breather. Knees in the clinch landing for Batungbakal.
Cousteau has picked Batungbakal up - he's going for a ride! Cousteau dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Cousteau missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Batungbakal is trying to get back to full guard. Cousteau seems to be looking for submissions.
Cousteau has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cousteau lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cousteau lands a heavy elbow. Cousteau connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Cousteau looking to finish Batungbakal with some ground and pound. This is bad for Batungbakal! This has been an exciting period of action! Cousteau tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Cousteau swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Batungbakal is now in Cousteau's guard. A big mistake from Cousteau there, giving up the dominant position! Cousteau looking for a sweep. Not yet Cousteau, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cousteau manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Batungbakal manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Batungbakal working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cousteau. Cousteau stays in close to Batungbakal's body and controls the position. Cousteau won't allow Batungbakal to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Batungbakal being controlled here, momentarily.
Jaques Cousteau has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cousteau shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Batungbakal as he jumps to the side. Batungbakal tries to clinch up and Cousteau counters with a takedown into side control. Cousteau has knee on belly and moves into mount. Cousteau has been the more effective fighter overall so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee warns Batungbakal that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Jaques Cousteau showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Cousteau lands with a good body shot. Cousteau throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Batungbakal. Batungbakal closes the distance but Cousteau moves to the side and Cousteau moves into the clinch. Batungbakal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cousteau ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cousteau is defended easily by Batungbakal. Cousteau tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Batungbakal is able to avoid easily. Nice sprawl there from Batungbakal as Cousteau shoots in. Cousteau clinches up against the ropes. Cousteau drags the fight down to the ground.
Cousteau seems keen to control Batungbakal's posture. Batungbakal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cousteau works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cousteau manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cousteau won't let Batungbakal get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cousteau goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Batungbakal turns into him and now he's in Cousteau's guard.
Cousteau is trying to control the position but Batungbakal postures up. Batungbakal wants to stand but Cousteau has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cousteau wants to sweep here but Batungbakal controlling him for the moment. Batungbakal wants to stand but Cousteau is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cousteau is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Batungbakal tries to free his leg and advance position but Cousteau is retaining full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Batungbakal wants to stand but Cousteau has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Batungbakal looking to sit in guard and control but Cousteau gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Batungbakal wants to stand and escape but Cousteau is having none of it. Cousteau stands and steps away. Batungbakal gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Cousteau lands a really nice looking cross but Batungbakal seems unphased.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cousteau scores with a hook. A low kick from Batungbakal is predictable there and Cousteau counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Well,Batungbakal is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes? Cousteau gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cousteau drops down looking for an ankle pick but Batungbakal pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jake Batungbakal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaques Cousteau. Cousteau scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cousteau not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Well, if Cousteau is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jake Batungbakal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! And that's the end of the fight! Jaques Cousteau comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cousteau has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
