Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rico Olivarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PierreLuc Beaulieu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beaulieu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Disturbed, Indestructible. PierreLuc Beaulieu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rico Olivarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, PierreLuc Beaulieu!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beaulieu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Beaulieu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Olivarez throws out the jab.
Beaulieu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beaulieu has managed to clinch.
Beaulieu is trying to maintain a safe position but Olivarez gets an underhook and turns Beaulieu into the ropes.
Beaulieu throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Olivarez takes a knee right on the jaw!
Beaulieu stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Olivarez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Olivarez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beaulieu walks away with a smile on his face. Olivarez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Beaulieu wants to clinch but Olivarez slips to the side
and Olivarez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Beaulieu wants to sweep but Olivarez has passed to side control!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Beaulieu is trying to get back to half guard.
Beaulieu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Beaulieu is trying to control Olivarez's posture but Olivarez avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Olivarez has an Americana. Beaulieu didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Olivarez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Olivarez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rico Olivarez!
