Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ironman Gab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Audet's choice of entrance music: Rammstein, fuer frei. Mick Audet is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ironman Gab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mick Audet! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Audet misses with a combination
and Gab counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mick Audet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Audet throws a lazy uppercut
and Gab counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Gab slips a jab from Audet. Audet throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Audet misses with a double jab
and Gab counters with a nice uppercut. Gab clinches with his opponent.
Gab jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Audet walks away with a smile on his face. Gab gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Audet misses with an uppercut
and Gab counters by clinching up. Audet is trying to break the clinch but Gab has him pressed against the ropes. Gab tries for a takedown but Audet manages to get underhooks.
Gab gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gab slips a nice elbow through Audet's hands, connecting with Audet's forehead. Gab misses with a head shot. Audet uses the momentum to regain guard. Gab lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Audet avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gab trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gab trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gab distracts Audet with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Gab throws and elbow that misses. Audet uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gab's guard. Nice move by Audet! Gab keeping full guard, as Audet tries to pass. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Audet wants to control from the top but Gab keeps moving. Audet drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gab looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gab looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gab!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Audet on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Gab wants to control but Audet is keeping him busy. Gab throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Audet works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Gab thows a huge punch but Audet dodges it nicely.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Audet blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gab. Audet regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gab throws a big right hand that misses. Gab throws a big right hand that misses. Gab is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gab throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gab postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gab stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Audet swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gab makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gab throws a strike but Audet rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Gab looking to hit a scissor sweep but Audet is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gab is trying to keep Audet in close.
Gab knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Audet on the ground. Audet trying to control the position from guard on top but Gab is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Audet is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ironman Gab dominated that round. That's time! Gab's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gab has closed the distance and engaged Audet in a clinch.
Audet prevents the takedown attempt.
Audet is trying to break the clinch but Gab is controlling him. Audet tries to break free but Gab pushes him back against the ropes. Audet can't break the clinch.

Audet wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Gab has hold of one of Audet's legs. Audet is fighting the takedown attempt but Gab gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Gab scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Audet is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gab throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gab avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gab thows a big elbow that misses. Audet is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gab is aware though and is defending well. Gab working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Audet looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gab working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Gab works over Audet with some ground and pound from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gab throws a strike but Audet rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Gab keeping moving, preventing Audet from controlling successfully. Gab on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gab tries to get out of the position. Gab wants to stand but Audet is controlling the position. Gab kicks Audet off and gets to his feet. Audet throws a combination that misses and Gab counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Audet pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Audet misses with a hook
and Gab counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Gab has Audet pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Audet manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ironman Gab. That's going to take a lot out of him. Audet prevents the takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Audet has had enough of the clinch but Gab keeps him there for the moment. Gab drops down looking for an ankle pick but Audet pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Gab counters with a shoot takedown. Audet fights it but they end up in guard. Gab loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Audet preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Gab is working Audet over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gab thows a big elbow that misses. Gab postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gab loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gab postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Audet is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gab, into his guard. Audet trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Audet advances position into side control! Audet is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Gab is trying to escape and Audet transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Gab is forced to tap! Nice work there by Audet! Very nice indeed!
