The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dent throws a lazy uppercut
and Davis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stewie Dent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dent swings widly with a right hand
and Davis counters with a straight right hand.
Dent throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dent misses with a right hand
and Davis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dent rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dent takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dent throws a poor cross that misses
letting Davis counter with a right hand.
Dent feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dent passes into half guard.
Dent stands up out of the half guard.
Donk. Dent catches Davis right on the button with a cross.

and Davis counters with a nice uppercut.
Dent smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Phil Davis has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Davis closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dent throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Davis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Davis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dent connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Davis scrambles back to his feet.

Dent is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dent scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Davis looks gassed!
Davis avoids the body shot from Dent.
Dent looks to score with a jab to the body but Davis is just out of range.
Dent with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Davis takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dent throws a jab but it's blocked by Davis.
Dent's corner calls for a 1-2. Dent obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davis's waist but Davis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dent off to one side.
Dent dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dent cracks Davis with a good jab.
That has opened up Phil Davis's cut even more.
Dent misses with an uppercut.
Davis needs to keep his hands up - Dent had a free shot at his head there.
Dent bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Dent lands a nice shot that snaps Davis's head back.
Davis moves away from the strike by Dent.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice defenses there by Davis.
Dent waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Davis.
Davis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The cut above Phil Davis's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Davis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dent is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Davis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dent.
Dent lands a jab.
Davis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Davis is rocked!
Phil Davis's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dent drops Davis with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Davis! Dent dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Stewie Dent!
