The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapierre avoids the head kick by Liddell.
Liddell scores with a shot to the body.
Lapierre takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lapierre gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Liddell.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Liddell throws a series of punches but Lapierre avoids them all with ease.
Lapierre scoring well with a low kick there.
Lapierre buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A combination from Liddell does no damage.
Liddell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lapierre can pounce on him.
Liddell lands a big right hook! Lapierre looks hurt but is still standing! Liddell lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Lapierre falls down and Liddell dives in with a huge hammer fist! Lapierre's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Liddell runs up the ropes to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Charlie Liddell!
