The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Calzaghe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
St Pierre swings and misses with a hook to the body.
St Pierre walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Horrible takedown by St Pierre or perhaps it was just good defense by Calzaghe which made him look bad.
Calzaghe connects with a good right hand that stumbles St Pierre. St Pierre circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Calzaghe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
St Pierre misses with a hook
and St Pierre takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Calzaghe jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Joe Calzaghe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
St Pierre takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Calzaghe connects with a single shot there.
St Pierre shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. St Pierre showed some decent athleticism there.
Calzaghe has one foot on St Pierre's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
St Pierre looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
St Pierre on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Calzaghe cracks St Pierre with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt - Calzaghe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Calzaghe tests St Pierre's chin there with a solid looking shot.
St Pierre doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Calzaghe counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
St Pierre is breathing heavily.
Calzaghe scores with a nice right hand.
St Pierre on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Calzaghe connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed St Pierre momentarily.
St Pierre is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
St Pierre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Calzaghe as he avoids it easily.
Oh St Pierre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Calzaghe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
St Pierre seems to have got his legs back now.
Calzaghe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between St Pierre's hands.
Calzaghe cracks St Pierre with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Calzaghe has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning St Pierre to stand back up!
Calzaghe lands an uppercut, right on the button! St Pierre tumbles backwards into the ropes, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
