Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vila Nova lands a jab to the nose.
Vila Nova throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Vila Nova rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Vila Nova loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Vila Nova closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Vila Nova's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Vila Nova duly obliges.

Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vila Nova.

Jones drops his hands momentarily and Vila Nova takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Vila Nova feints a jab promting Jones to slip. Vila Nova then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jones slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Vila Nova throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.

Vila Nova tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Vila Nova circles away.

so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Vila Nova really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
