Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Mordor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Toy Soldier. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gustavo Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Mordor! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie fails with the takedown and Mordor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gracie's guard. Mordor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. Mordor not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mordor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mordor trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet. Mordor trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Max Mordor hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mordor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but Mordor persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gracie is trying to escape back to his feet but Mordor uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mordor tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well. Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mordor is thwarting Gracie's attempts to control the position. Gracie is not content to let Mordor control the position. Mordor is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gracie has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mordor looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mordor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well. Mordor prevents Gracie from standing back up.

Mordor drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mordor has Gracie in his guard. Gracie advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mordor is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Gracie seems to be looking for submissions.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mordor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Mordor dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt and Mordor counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mordor seems to be working for a kimura but Gracie defends the submission attempt. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Mordor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mordor scoring with strikes to the body and head. Mordor missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Gracie tries to get to full guard but Mordor has control of the leg. Mordor moves nicely into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gracie is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mordor connects with a decent elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is trying to control Mordor's posture but Mordor avoids it. Mordor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mordor is looking to advance position but Gracie won't allow it. Gracie is trying to stand back up but Mordor is controlling him

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mordor is looking for a kimura here.
Mordor is thwarting Gracie's attempts to control the position. Gracie tries to kick Mordor off in order to stand up. Mordor Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie struggling a bit here. Mordor advances nicely into full mount. Mordor is looking to work his way around to Gracie's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Mordor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gracie is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gracie and Mordor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Mordor wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mordor working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gracie is trying to control Mordor's posture but Mordor avoids it. Mordor is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mordor is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Mordor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mordor gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mordor looking for subs off his back but Gracie has passed one foot through into half guard.
Gracie with the ground and pound but Mordor uses the opportunity to regain guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mordor is looking to stand up but Gracie isn't so interested in that idea. Mordor looking to control.
Gracie pushing down on Mordor's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gracie is keen to just control but Mordor is a slippery customer. Gracie slips a nice elbow through Mordor's hands, connecting with Mordor's forehead. Mordor trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mordor has worked his arm free - good work by Mordor!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Max Mordor has got the better of the ground game so far. Gracie lands a decent elbow from side control. Mordor trying to control but Gracie flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Mordor is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Gracie gets his way!

Gustavo Gracie clearly takes that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gracie wants to clinch but Mordor slips to the side and Mordor counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mordor throwing shots but Gracie is blocking nicely. Gracie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mordor. Gracie is looking to control Mordor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted? Gracie is trying to get back to full guard. Mordor looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gracie wants to get back to his feet. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Mordor frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mordor raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mordor is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gracie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gracie shrugs it off. Gracie tries to hold on but Mordor pushes him away. Mordor is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gracie is surviving well by controlling Mordor's body position as best he can. Gracie is squirming around, avoiding Mordor's attempts to control the action. Gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mordor wants to finish this one by submission but Gracie is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mordor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mordor has control of Gracie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gracie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mordor sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Gracie is squirming around, avoiding Mordor's attempts to control the action. Gracie wants to hold on but Mordor pushes him away. Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
