Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suzuki comes to the cage accompanied by Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. Bundy has chosen Bad to The Bone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Al Bundy!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bundy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Suzuki did well to prevent Bundy getting side control.

Bundy shoots in for a double leg but Suzuki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Suzuki looks to score with a jab to the body but Bundy is just out of range.
Suzuki stuffs the takedown attempt from Bundy. Bundy gets slowly back to his feet.

No joy there for Suzuki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Suzuki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Suzuki stalks Bundy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bundy's face. Bundy staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Al Bundy has been cut.
An inside leg kick lands from Bundy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Suzuki misses with a low kick.
Suzuki ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Suzuki takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Suzuki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bundy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bundy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Suzuki throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Suzuki.

Bundy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Suzuki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bundy distracts Suzuki with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Suzuki jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bundy manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daisuke Suzuki will probably get the nod.
