Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xavier David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Standa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David's entrance music is Bring The Pain. A fine choice. Standa has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Xavier David has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David thuds his shin into the meat of Standa's side.
Standa looks gassed!
Standa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

David shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Standa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
David is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells David's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
David has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
David lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Standa's head.

Standa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with David. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Standa is rocked!
David gets to his feet and stands over Standa, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Standa felt that one! David unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Standa from any more punishment!
