Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kingston James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Partlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Big Mouth Strikes Again. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kingston James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Chris Partlow! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Partlow ducks under a wild hook from James. James swings away with a body shot that misses
and Partlow counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in James's guard now. James looking for a guillotine here but Partlow defends easily.
James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Partlow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. James keeping moving, preventing Partlow from controlling successfully. Partlow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Partlow wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Partlow manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Partlow is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. James tries to free his leg and advance position but Partlow is retaining full guard. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Partlow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James trying to move into half guard but instead Partlow has managed to sweep! Partlow content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Partlow stopping the sweep attempt from James. James wants to stand but Partlow is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Partlow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Partlow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Partlow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Partlow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. James lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Partlow! You get the feeling that Partlow really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's three minutes gone in the round. James won't let Partlow get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Partlow is squirming around, avoiding James's attempts to control the action. James thowing shots but they're missing. James wants to control the pace but Partlow is squirming around nicely. Partlow keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
James moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Partlow has worked his arm free - good work by Partlow!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Partlow regains half guard there - taking advantage of James's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. James seems to be working for a kimura but Partlow defends the submission attempt. James wants to control but Partlow is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Partlow dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Partlow swivels and escapes. James doesn't succeed with the takedown and Partlow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in James's guard. James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Partlow is one step ahead there. Partlow is looking to work some ground and pound but James has wrist control. Partlow trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Partlow tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James looking for a guillotine here but Partlow defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kingston James. That's going to take a lot out of him. James misses with a takedown and Partlow counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Partlow. Partlow is working James over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. James keeping moving, preventing Partlow from controlling successfully. Partlow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! James is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! James has escaped and now he's on top! James wants to control but Partlow is keeping busy and won't allow it. Partlow working the head and body with strikes. It looks like Partlow is going to stand back up.

Partlow pushes down on James's leg and manages to get into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Partlow connects with a nice short shot to James's temple. Partlow is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Partlow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Partlow tries to score a power double leg takedown but James sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Partlow somewhat. Partlow misses with a body shot
and James counters with a stiff right hand. Partlow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kingston James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Partlow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. James shoots in but Partlow avoids the takedown attempt easily. James scores with a jab to the head.

James takes a swing at Partlow's ribcage but misses. James shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Partlow counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James misses with a lunging right hand
and Partlow holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Partlow working aggressively here.
A short uppercut from James. Partlow scores with an uppercut up the middle. Partlow is trying to work for a single leg takedown but James pulls him back up using the underhooks. Kingston James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Partlow. James fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
James lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. James misses with a punch on the inside.
James jumps guard and drags Partlow to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Partlow trying to control but James is working from the bottom. Kingston James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. James wants to hit a switch here but Partlow passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for James there! The referee warns James that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
James wants to hold on but Partlow pushes him away. James bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Both fighters are breathing heavily. James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. James throws a strike but Partlow rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. James is looking for a triangle but Partlow pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Partlow postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it. James is looking for a triangle but Partlow pushes his legs off easily.
James has his foot on Partlow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Partlow works his way back into a safe position though. Partlow throwing strikes but missing. James keeping full guard, as Partlow tries to pass. Partlow trying to control but James is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Partlow postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Partlow looking to pass the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Partlow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Partlow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
