The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assassin misses with a wild body shot.
Assassin throws a lazy uppercut
and Smasher counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smasher.
Smasher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Assassin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smasher has managed to get both his arms back between Assassin's legs - danger averted.
Assassin has his foot on Smasher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smasher works his way back into a safe position though.
Smasher wants to stand but Assassin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Assassin is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Smasher frees his head nicely. Oh but Assassin has switched to an armbar! Smasher is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
