Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dieselnoi Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Lipsanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dieselnoi Fairtex looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Lipsanen!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Fairtex looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fairtex gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lipsanen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lipsanen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lipsanen trying to control but Fairtex is working from the bottom.
Fairtex will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fairtex knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lipsanen on the ground.
Fairtex wants to stand up but Lipsanen is controlling him.

Lipsanen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lipsanen tries to free his leg and advance position but Fairtex is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lipsanen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lipsanen misses with an uppercut.
No luck for Lipsanen with that takedown attempt.
Fairtex throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lipsanen.
Danny Lipsanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lipsanen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fairtex tries to avoid it but Lipsanen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fairtex to the ground. Fairtex escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dieselnoi Fairtex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Lipsanen.

Fairtex has Lipsanen up against the cage in a clinch.
Lipsanen is working for takedown but Fairtex is calmly controlling the position for now.

Lipsanen jumps guard but Fairtex stands there with Lipsanen around his waist. Lipsanen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lipsanen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fairtex to the mat! Fairtex manages to get full guard.
Lipsanen has gone for a leg lock! Fairtex slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lipsanen's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lipsanen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fairtex gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fairtex won't allow Lipsanen to sweep him here.

Lipsanen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fairtex doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fairtex manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lipsanen is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Fairtex frees his head nicely. Oh but Lipsanen has switched to an armbar! Fairtex is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
