Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McDonald closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Simmons to the mat! Simmons manages to get full guard.
McDonald thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Simmons looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
McDonald won't allow Simmons to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDonald tries to free his leg and advance position but Simmons is retaining full guard.
McDonald postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McDonald is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Simmons is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Simmons has escaped and now he's on top!
Simmons must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Simmons wants to stand but McDonald is controlling his posture from full guard.
McDonald has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McDonald working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simmons doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Simmons manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Simmons wants to stand but McDonald has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McDonald might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Simmons sends McDonald crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Simmons is motioning to the referee to let McDonald up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Matt Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McDonald throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Simmons's waist but Simmons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McDonald off to one side.

Horrible takedown by McDonald or perhaps it was just good defense by Simmons which made him look bad.
Simmons tries to bum rush McDonald with a series of wild strikes but McDonald uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McDonald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Simmons pinned against the cage. Simmons gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McDonald seems to have got his legs back now.
McDonald avoids the body shot from Simmons.
McDonald shoots in and drives through. Simmons sprawls well.
Simmons swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McDonald tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Simmons swivels and escapes.

Simmons drops McDonald with a huge uppercut! McDonald drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Simmons is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
