The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gory throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gory smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gerard Gory seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gory looks to land a left hand but Paskaks moved out of range nicely.
Gory throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gory. Paskaks does a little dance to reset his feet.
Paskaks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gory's head backwards.
Gory throws a right hand that Paskaks ducks under and follows up with a left that Paskaks also avoids with ease.
Gory scores with a crisp jab that stopped Paskaks in his tracks.
Gory tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Paskaks was well out of range. Poor timing from Gory.

Paskaks looks for a takedown but Gory sprawls well.
Gory throws a hook to the side of Paskaks's head but Paskaks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gory is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Still in half guard, Gory seems content to control.

Gory is pressing down on Paskaks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Paskaks is holding on for now.
Gory perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gory seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Paskaks for as long as he can get away with.
