Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Imer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viggo Viola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viola shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Imer defends it nicely.
Imer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Imer shoots in for a takedown but Viola shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Imer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Viola wants to control but Imer postures up.
Viola is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Imer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Viola knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Imer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Viola can do anything to dispel that myth.

Imer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Viola sees it coming and defends easily.

Imer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Viola is just riding it out for now. Imer eventually gives up the hold.

Imer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Viola really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Imer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Imer wants to work for an arm triangle but Viola is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Imer maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Viola could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Imer has cracked it and Viola is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Imer!
